After photographing weddings of all kinds across the world, I’ve learned the best way to have an unforgettable wedding day is by simply enjoying your celebration and loved ones to the fullest. Leave the shot lists, rigid photo timelines, and stuffy poses behind and experience the moments genuinely and fully and let them unfold freely.
My approach to documenting your day is to remind you of those fleeting moments and emotions, the joyful laughter of sharing memories with your loved ones, and the excitement of crafting a celebratory experience that is authentic to your love. I blend a photojournalistic approach to capture candid moments with a classically trained, artistic eye that captures the details of your celebration with editorial creativity. The final result is a collection of photographs that will reflect the celebration as it was, reminding you of how it felt.
My family photo albums that sparked my interest in documenting life!
"You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.”
As a kid, I would pour over my family’s photo albums looking at my loved ones in their youth, on special days of their lives, the mundane moments. I treasure those brief glimpses into a past that my mind can’t recall or that I was not present for.
I’m naturally a jack of all trades with an innate desire to explore, observe, learn, and most of all, experience. After graduating from university with a B.F.A in Photography, I spent ten years learning and growing as a photographer, traveling the world looking for fleeting moments of life worthy of freezing in time. All of this has informed my work and has shaped the lens that I shoot through.
I call Oahu home but you can find me bouncing around the world visiting family and friends and capturing adventurous couples in destinations all over.
